At the core, aQuantive is a technology company. The company has experienced success in the market and continues to see significant growth. They have a regular need to source candidates in a very competitive IT market, where finding people with the right skills can be a significant challenge. aQuantive found that one method for acquiring key hires is to set up events. The events have proven to be a good forum to encourage passive and active candidates with the right skills to find out about opportunities with aQuantive, which have lead to many key hires for the company. The challenge with these events, and aQuantive's other sourcing activities, is to find timely, accurate information on potential candidates and connect with them.
Solution:
aQuantive has found the Internet to be the best resource to find current information to source skilled candidates they need. Using real-time information is critical to their process of finding the best candidates first. aQuantive uses the Broadlook Suite to leverage real-time information from the Internet to source candidates and to customize & modify that information into their internal process.
Results:

aQuantive uses Broadlook's Eclipse, Profiler and Diver to find the time sensitive information that is critical to their successful sourcing and recruitment process. "The productivity gains we have received are incredible," said Kay Kelison. "What would have taken over 8 hours of work before Broadlook entered the picture now has been compressed into less than 2 hours." Just one example of how aQuantive used the Broadlook Suite was to identify 700 skilled candidates for a major event. The information produced 500 attendees and ultimately made 10 key hires. "If it wasn't for Broadlook, we would have made the hires. In just one event, our investment in Broadlook paid for itself."

Prior to selecting Broadlook, aQuantive paid for research serivces externally.
