We begin this series by identifying the differences between Internet lists, directories and tables, and how Eclipse is designed to assist in the extraction of such information. We discuss the Eclipse layout, and progress from easy-to-capture sites, to complex. We complete the series with advanced strategies to capture information from Java-script based sites, and write macros.

PRO120 – Beginner Profiler – Part 1 PRO121 – Beginner Profiler – Part 2 |
We begin this series with a discussion of the capabilities, and limitations of Profiler’s ability to capture, parse, and export information from user-defined “entity” websites. We discuss the Profiler layout, and progress from adjusting settings in the application to search, and export of contact results. We also cover the additional information that Profiler provides, including company information, and explore information found on external sites.

For those users that have upgraded Profiler to include the “X” plugin, PRX170 is a class that discusses the enhanced information that Hoovers provides, as well as using the Hoover’s search capabilities to create targeted lists of companies to research.
